Got Questions? Here's some lovely FAQ's...
...but should you apply, you'll be able to ask any questions you have there also.
Who is this mastermind for?
We're looking for business owners who've moved past the startup phase. Your business should have proven its model, have consistent revenue, and you're focusing on growth rather than survival. If you're still figuring out how to find your first customers, this isn't for you yet. We need members dealing with challenges like building leadership teams, considering acquisitions, or scaling operations.
What if someone in the group is in my industry?
We maintain a strict non-compete rule. All members review and vote on applications, and we need unanimous agreement. If there's any competitive overlap, the application won't proceed. This creates a safe space where everyone can share openly without worrying about giving away competitive advantages.
What's expected of members?
Simple - give as much as you take. This isn't about sitting back and absorbing wisdom from others. Every member actively contributes, challenges thinking, and shares their own experiences. If you're looking to just listen, this won't work.
Do I need to attend every meeting?
By committing to being a member, you commit to show up fully and play your part. Commitment to all meetings is non-negotiable. That's the October beach retreat (4 days), February and May UK masterminds (2-days each), and the December celebration dinner in London. When everyone shows up consistently, the group builds real momentum and trust, meaning each mastermind meeting becomes an event you will never want to miss.
What if I don't like feedback?
Then this isn't for you. Being coachable means you're genuinely open to having your thinking challenged. We're all successful in our own right, but we join because we know we have blind spots. If you can't handle direct, honest feedback from peers, you won't get value from this.
How much does it cost?
With an annual membership fee of £350+VAT, this helps to cover administration cost for the organisation of BOSS and ensure there is some "skin in the game" for members. We operate as a true non-profit, with transparency around running costs and financed. Everyone chips in equally for events they attend. UK meetings will cost between £200-500 per person (depending on venue and any external experts we bring in). The annual beach retreat will be somewhere between £1,500-2,000 per person. This covers all meeting costs, group activities, meals during sessions, and expert speakers. You handle your own travel and accommodation (unless we get a package deal). Every penny BOSS takes goes into making the experience valuable - nobody's taking a cut of profits.
What's not included in the price?
You'll book and pay for your own travel and accommodation for all events. Evening meals at the beach retreat are on you (except group activities planned and agreed upon by the group). Any personal expenses or optional extras aren't covered. We coordinate hotel options as a group to get everyone in the same place, but you book directly unless we get a package deal we all agreed upon.
Why should established business owners pay to join a mastermind?
This isn't about paying for training or access to a guru. This is NOT a training programme. You're investing in being part of a carefully curated group of equals. The conversations here are different - instead of "how do I make my first sale," it's "should I acquire or expand organically?" The stakes are higher, the problems more complex, and everyone understands what it actually takes to run a successful operation.
How are each of the mastermind sessions run? Is it just a free for all?
No, it's not a free for all. Each of the two day events, and the four day mastermind event, are carefully structured to ensure that a true mastermind environment is facilitated. These events are not like other "mastermind" events that you may have attended in the past. Every member will have a dedicated hot seat session where they are able to share specific challenges to the whole room and get input from every other member. Every session will commence with those people who are attending sharing what their number one thing is that they want to get out of the meeting. And pre-event zoom calls and communication will dictate if there are key areas to focus on together and if an expert speaker is needed to be brought in to share their wisdom with us all. Further breakdown of a typical two day and four day agenda will be sent to you after your application is submitted so that you can see how these events will be structured.
